OF PASSING TIME AND NEW BEGINNINGS,............
The best time to do it is now.
Salam besties!
It breaks my heart to say that it has been such a long time since I wrote to you. I sincerely hope that you are well and holding on. What can I say? Life has been lifing and time keeps passing.
Time is one of the most fascinating concepts of human existence for me personally, regardless of what’s going on in our lives or the world in general, it just keeps ticking and events or dates that seem so far comes and goes before we know it because tell me why we are already four years post-covid? I mean, there must have been a time jump from then to now as that’s the only way to explain how it’s been 4 years already.😅 In truth, that’s the reality of the world we live in. As humans, we exhibit an interesting relationship with time. Almost everything we do is defined by time, a day of birth and a day of death, we are attached to events, people, places and emotions by the period of time in which we experience them. some people are more conscious of it’s passing than others. I find that we sometimes place so much significance on time passing, more than what we actually do in the passing of time.
The cliché line of ‘time waits for no one’ is as true as the sun that shines over us. This is why today, I urge you to carry on with that decision you have made, take that step, start whatever it is now because, regardless of what you do or don’t do, time just passes. So maybe you think that that commitment will take 2 years or even 5, I am telling that those years will pass anyways. The difference will be if you are better off at the end of those years than you are now but as for time, it certainly will pass.
Update,
As for me, sometime last year, I decided to start a master’s degree in public health/ community nutrition but not without doubts and uncertainties however now, I am most glad that I did and I am grateful to Allah for His grace to make it possible. As you may or may not know, I studied biochemistry in my first degree so this is a learning curve for me but it is one that I am absolutely enjoying and super hopeful for the possibilities that it proposes. In this light, I have made some resolutions, albeit not New Year’s one most people make, but a spontaneous one, to put myself out there as much as possible and to learn, grow and impact as much as possible in this field. To be as excellent as I can in this pursuit and to attain my full potential regardless. I hope to share my opinion articles about healthy nutrition, food systems and food security with you at least once every month. Every class I attend gives me insight and opens my mind to looking to solve the problem of food insecurity which is no doubt one the world’s leading global challenges. I am adopting you all as my accountability partners automatically so if I don’t keep to my words, feel free to call me out.
I hope to send letters sharing my thoughts with you more frequently going forward and I will definitely make efforts towards that but until next time, stay safe.
PS who’s excited for Ramadan?
Yours thoughtfully,
Ojone.❤️❤️❤️

Time is transient and move by us quickly often time almost rudely. It is however important to start whatever you have in mind regardless of the uncertainties you feel. Years will pass and you'll only be defined by those which you are courageous enough to do.
💯💯you are doing well baby, May all your hard work pay off soon bi Idhnillah 😘
