Tawakkul
Tie your Camel and put your trust in Allah!
Salam dearsssss.
How have you been holding up? It's been a while I wrote to you and really, it's been a while since I wrote anything. Save for my random social media posts so please pardon me if this read comes along as a little bit rusty. Smiles!
You would agree with me that we've been having quite a roller coaster of a year………or it's probably just me. Personally, it has been quite a year. Not great but it hasn't been bad, in all that's been happening, I remain extremely grateful to
Allah for all the blessings I have. I hope you have reasons to be grateful too. While writing this, I clocked that we are entering the 8th month of the year. 💀 I honestly cannot believe it. So the year is far gone and you have not reached the goals you set for the year, or your plans did not follow through due to circumstances beyond you or whatever it is that creeps doubt into your wandering mind every now and then, I say to you, trust the Almighty who is your Sustainer and supreme Provider.
Tawakkul is such a beautiful concept for a believer in that whatever you are facing, you trust that Allah has a plan for you and that his plan is most perfect. Over and over again in the Quran, Allah assures us that he is the ultimate provider for all of his creations. What's more? Your rizq has been written down for you even before you knew yourself and you will not get even a grain more/less than has been written for you. Do you ever wonder about how the birds that we see flying in sky survives? How it feeds everyday? Allah says He provides for even the tiniest creatures that we do not acknowledge. So whenever your human heart worries as it should, remember the promises of your lord.
Nobody said it is going to be easy, the heart by nature will worry but as believers, we take solace in Tawakkul while being patient and express gratitude for all the favours we have been bestowed with while of course being steadfast in our pursuit of the milestones that we seek.
My message to you today is simple, keep working at what you want, trust Allah and excercise beautiful patience.
I'll also leave with you a Hadith that you probably already know or don't know…….
Anas ibn Malik reported: A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, should I tie my camel and trust in Allah, or should I leave her untied and trust in Allah?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Tie her and trust in Allah.”
